Herman Joseph Berghoff - founder of the Berghoff - was well know for his ingenuity. In 1920, unable to produce his famous Berghoff beer due to Prohibition, Herman created Bergo - a line of soft drinks featuring Root Beer, Orange Tang and Ginger flavors.
